Just back from a week at the casa. What a great time we had with the girls. Everyone seems to be doing really well and the spirits seemed high.  Its was amazing how much most of the girls have grown in  10 months! It was a pleasure to have spent time with a fantastic group of volunteers - some old friends, some newly-made friends. There was a great sense of teamwork and a week was certainly too short a time. Suzie, Liz, Mercy, Des...a pleasure as always...Vica, Natasha and Valentina - thank you for all your work and your patience. Victor & Iurie & Liuda...thank you also for your help.  To our ladies in the kitchen - thanks for minding us so well. I'll see you all again

Hi All,

Greetings to all the staff and girls in Hincesti from a very tired, but a very happy volunteer just back from a wonderful trip. The girls are looking great........it's amazing to see the improvement from year to year in the children and indeed the buildings. The staff take such pride in keeping the kids and of course their rooms, so clean and tidy.....wish one of them would come over here and organise my house!        

 Thank you so much to all of you......and of course to the rest of the group......what a motley crew we were, don't think I've laughed so much in years, I'll miss you but no doubt we'll meet again.

If you're reading this and have never been to the orphanage, do something about it NOW! It will enrich your life more than you could ever imagine.

2010 is our 10th Anniversary!

Together we have all come a very long way and when we look at the children and adults in Hincesti today, we never cease to be amazed at what each and every one of you has helped us to achieve.

The girls today are so totally different to what we encountered in the beginning in 2001. Each and every volunteer should take great pride in your dedication, love and contribution and, as you are aware, this love is reciprocated  a hundred fold by all the children. Without you the girls would not have the brighter future they now face. Thank you to each and every volunteer.

Lets make 2010 a year to remember. If you have not already volunteered, please do so now and why not recruit a couple of "newbies" into the ORM fold?

Mercy, you are an inspiration for the over 21's, the rest of us 21+ have a lot to live up to. Congratulations to the Maleady family on your wonderful achievement, its well deserved. Started my fundraising campaign for 2010- had Xmas hampers raffle at work yesterday. Looking forward to seeing those wonderful girls again in 2010.                                                                                                                                                                      

Happy Christmas to all the best girls in Moldova, and to Susie, Des and all the staff.Great to have got the opportunity to be there with them this year. Please God I will get out again soon. I think of them a lot and they are always in my prayers.

La Multi Ani to all voluntares and workers of Casa de Copii!x  I was just looking at the video of Christmas last year and I'd put uop with -22 degrees to have been there! It looks fantastic!! Fair play to all involved!

   hope ye had a great year anyway and that we'll have an even better one next year. I'm planning my next trip now and looking forward to it already!

  RIP little angles Evelina and Lucica who passed away over the year.xxx

 And I hope that Maria and the other divils who have moved on are getting on well. They'll be missed!
