Hello,

I am from Moldova and live in wicklow for 9 years now. I come from Hincesti and I remember I visiting the Casa De copii many times and to be ashamed what I saw as a Moldovan person.

Two weeks ago I came home for the first time to see my parents and family and all my family and friends were saying about Outreach Moldova. I came to the orphanage one day and would not understand or believe what I see.

It is like dream and not same place I was so ashamed for. The copii so happy, well dressed, eating well and the place so different. New buildings place for wheelchairs playground fields for sports. Lots of irish persons helping the girls.

I did not see all as I did not have permission to be here. People say there is Irish doctor with name Mama Susie and she give work to 250 workers from hincesti.

I am no more ashamed to be Moldovan and I am proud too I am Irish.

What you do with children is a miracel. God will remember all of Irish people who did this work.

Cu respect,

Elena XXX

Hi all,

Home from Moldova about a week now after a great trip out with the only fabulous ladies of Group 5 :o)

My fourth trip out was as special as my very first one a few years back. The girls of the Casa de Copii never fail to surprise me with their bravery, unconditional affection and absolute enhusiasm for life. I always feel blessed to have the opportunity just to get to know them and to spend time with them, their good nature, big smiles and postive attidudes are just infectous!

My thanks to Suzanne, Des, Liz, Mercy and all the volunteers and staff for their kind words and support following the passing of my grandfather during my visit. He would be delighted to know I have such truly great people like ye in my life.

To anyone considering volunteering, I can't advocate this charity and the volunteer experience highly enough, you'll thoroughly enjoy it. make a tangible difference and meet some incredible children and adults in the process. And to present and previous volunteers, I do hope ye make a return visit again some day, ye know yourselves what a great organisation ORM is and what they do.

hello everyone,

I just wish to express my deepest thanks to 'Suz' in 2003 I was extremely nervous about meeting the children as the inductions all pictured a very fearful perception of what it would be like in the orphanage, however you said 'go out with no inhibitions and give lots of love and hugs'

and guess what it worked I embraced all the beautiful children with all of myself and from that unique experience I have shaped my own destiny and I am very proud of who I am today.

I want to share this with anyone who wants to change thier life, to work in Moldova and embrace the most humbling and beautiful experience that is the children of the copii!!

so in summary, thanks to all the volunteers who I met and especially des and Suz for EVERYTHING LOL
