Old Friends

Catching up with old friends!

The last thing on Santa’s to-do-list was the trip to other adult institution to visit the children that had moved on from Hincesti Children’s Orphanage. It wouldn't be Christmas unless we could spend it with those that had been part of the ORM programmes for so many years and who have now moved on. They continue to live on in our hearts and what a perfect way to end Christmas; spending it with old friends.

On his last day of adventures Santa had travelled about 500 km to meet these wonderful adults and show them the love and care that ORM still holds for them. It made their day. They all were so happy to see Santa and meet the old friends, to know that they are remembered with love and still included in our extended programmes just the same as when they were in Hincesti Children’s Orphanage. The presents didn’t matter at that stage, it was all about the catching up.

Besides his magical sack full with presents; Santa also brought over the Christmas lunch for each of our friends and about 500 pairs of brand new Addidas runners for all the residents in these adult institutions; kindly donated by Gary Lowham in Tralee.

A very special mention must go to Linda & Sharon Walsh and Breda Purcell for sending over an individual present for each of our old friends, filled to the brim with much thought and lots of love.
