There’s 50 early-bird entries so sign up now to save money in 2011.

Swim Course

The swim course is in the sheltered waters next to Spiddal harbour.  The Sprint competitors will start on the harbour beach, swim out and into the smaller beach next to transition for 750m.  The olympic competitors will start next to transition, swim to the harbour beach and back for 1500m.

Cycle Course

The cycle course is a simple out and back spin on the Spiddal to Moycullen road through the heart of Connemara.  The sprint competitors will go out and back once (20km), while the olympic competitors will go out and back twice (40km).

Note: There will be a 90m run from transition before you mount your bike, as you will need to cross the coast road before getting onto the closed Spiddal to Moycullen road.

Run Course

The run loop is 2.5km in length and takes you from transition, out along the coastal path, out along the Spiddal pier and back in through the village.  Sprint competitors will do two loops (5km), while olympic competitors will do four loops (10km).
