Copenhagen Marathon May 2011
Venue: Copenhagen, Denmark
Date: 22 May 2011
Distance: 42.195 K
Be a part of the Nykredit Copenhagen Marathon and experience the scenic city of Copenhagen on Sunday 22 May 2011. The course will start and finish from Islands Brygge and combine the best from previous years with new paths.
A traffic-free course
The traffic-free course is improved and easier and faster to run. The course will give the runners and spectators a chance to meet more than once, and it takes you by numerous historic sights and landmarks in Copenhagen.
The Pace setters
As a special service Copenhagen Marathon gives runners an opportunity to keep a steady pace throughout the race by following one of the many pace setters. This way contestants can join the group that runs a pace corresponding to their desired finish time. Runners can meet the pace setters personally at the Sports Expo before the race or every Sunday at Sparta’s free training sessions.
Spectator-friendly course
The course offers ample possibilities for spectators to cheer on their family and friends. Cosy cafés along the course will enable you to enjoy a good meal and drinks while you sit back and watch the runners pass by.
Please note that Nykredit Copenhagen Marathon is a full marathon only. No half marathon, 5 km, 10 km or other distances are involved. It’s all about the race. It’s all about the marathon.
Registration and additional information on the marathon can be found at the official Copenhagen Marathon website.
