The West Wicklow Roar event is a Multisport Event - Road Biking, Off-Road Running and Kayaking.
 
 
Approximate course distances and order of the disciplines are: 
 

Sport Solo: 

This category of the event is aimed to be accessible for those new to this type of event who may be unsure of their ability to complete the more extreme challenge of the Expert event.

This event will commence with a very short run and a ~ 1000m kayak.

  • Bike 11.5 km
  • Off Road run ~ 7km
  • Bike 10.5km
 

Expert Solo and Expert Relay Teams: 

This challenging category of the event is aimed to be accessible for those with some experience in this type of event who have a reasonable level of fitness and competence in all disciplines.

  • Kayak 3000m*
  • Bike 11.5km
  • Off Road Run 7km
  • Bike 18km
  • Offroad Run 7km
  • Bike 16.5km
 
* Increased from 2000m in 2010 event
 
Note: you may bring your own single Kayak if you wish.
