24hr Cycle Challenge 2011
Venue: Newport, Co Mayo, Republic Of Ireland
Date: 26 June 2011
The 24hr Cycle Challenge incorporates a 24hr Mountain Bike Challenge and a 24hr Road Bike Challenge. These challenges are achievable by all levels of fitness; if you’re not a fitness fanatic and don’t fancy riding for 24hr straight do the event with a group of friends.
Starting and finishing in the Nephin Beg Mountain Range, Co Mayo, the route is roughly 47 km and takes in some of the most stunning scenery in the country. Competitors will have the opportunity to take in famous beauty spots such as Clew Bay, Clare Island and Croagh Patrick.
There are two challenges aimed at both mountain bikers and road bikers. The challenges are open to the hard core and Sunday cyclists as there are a variety of categories on offer from soloists to teams of 10. Breathe easy, you won’t be expected to cycle for 24 hours, unless you wish to!! Team members work in a relay system with only one member on the course at a time.
Due to insurance reasons we cannot accept anyone under the age of 18 into any of our events. All participants must be 18 years old on the date of the event.
For registration or additional information on this event please log on to 24hr Cycle Challenge official website.
