Heart & Soul 2011 Grant Award

The CTK Foundation Heart and Soul 2011 Grant Award

Outreach Moldova - Winners of the CTK Foundation Heart & Soul 2011 Grant Award

The 2011 Heart and Soul Grant Award programme provides over $25 000 in grants to support nonprofits, charities and voluntary organizations of all sizes in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and now the Republic of Ireland.

In March nonprofits of all sizes and types were invited to apply their creativity to win up to $ 10 000 grants of funds and technology. They were asked to submit an original four-to-eight-line poem that reflects their mission and work. The winning poem was selected by an international panel of independent artists and producers and will be the inspiration for a song by Bill Dillon, a recording artist who was exonerated through the work of Innocence Project of Florida and went on to achieve his dreams.

More than 1,500 poems were submitted from six countries. Each and every poem was written with integrity and creativity and we would like to thank Rene Murphy for her inspirational writing skills that have helped us be awarded signed Los Lonely Boys guitars. A huge THANK YOU from the entire ORM team!

Please take a moment to read Rene’s 8 lines of Then & Now.

They were cold, sad, unloved & neglected,
They were hungry & sick, completely rejected
Society's misfits, waiting to die
...No one to care, not one to ask why.
Then Outreach Moldova came into their world,
For these beautiful children a new life unfurled.
Sad faces now happy, sick bodies now well,
There's much more to do, so the whole world let's tell!
