It was time for the children to get creative. This programme is so important that it allows these children to express themselves in ways that they never could before. They have hidden talents that we never knew existed and they have even participated in national arts and crafts fairs in Moldova.

They children are very creative and use all materials for colouring, painting, gluing, paper mache, lollipop sticks, twigs, branches etc. They prepare all the seasonal crafts for all the big holidays like Christmas, Easter etc and their art work hangs proudly in all the halls throughout the orphanage.
In 2008 at the ORM Sports Aid event in TCD, we proudly auctioned the childrens' arts and crafts alongside works of famous Irish Sculptors and their work alone raised a staggering €2000, allowing us to buy the necessary art materials they needed. We are very grateful to the Irish volunteers that dedicate their time to this programme while out in Moldova and help the children reach their artistic potential. They show great patience helping the children to hold pairs of scissors, how to cut and paste and they always bring new materials with them every year to expand further this ongoing programme. Art classes are in groups of 4-6 and last 1 hour a session and they run 5 days a week from Monday to Friday. It is a joy to watch the children display their work with such pride.
